Hello!
Let me introduce myself. I’m Jo Lind. Allow me to tell you a short story. It was the “Year
of the Wedding” for our family. In April of that year my niece was married. That was followed
by my daughter’s wedding in May. June brought the marriage of another niece as well as the daughter of a good
friend. The rest of the summer months provided a brief respite which allowed some time to prepare
for my son’s wedding in October. That’s all. Just 5 weddings… in 8 months. With two children in College, and one recently graduated, there simply wasn’t tons of money lying around doing
nothing. So, out of necessity, all of the planning and most of the preparation was going to have to be done by us.
When shopping around for flowers, we were frequently disappointed with what we found. Prices
were generally prohibitive. Personal service was often available only at a premium. We resolved
to just “do it ourselves.” By the end of the year, I could think of almost nothing else but weddings, and more
specifically, wedding flowers. I set out to open my own business. I immediately
enrolled in Floral Design Classes at two local colleges. I also enrolled in the Master Florist Program and
received training by some of my state’s top Floral Designers. Within a few months I opened my own Wedding Flower Business
– from my home. My wedding flower business was born around the belief that gorgeous wedding
flowers should not have to cost a fortune. “I
believe every bride deserves beautiful flowers – no matter what the budget is!” Over
these last years, I have arranged flowers at sites all over this area of my state. I have even traveled to other states to
do wedding flowers. I have worked with very small weddings and very large weddings. I have worked with countless “Bridal Fairs.”
I have seen a lot of things out there. And they are not all pretty. A growing trend
is an increasing number of brides that want to do their own wedding flowers – for a variety of reasons. I applaud that. But,
again, I have seen a lot of things out there. And they are not all pretty. Enter Wedding
